General Mills Joins Kannapolis Research Campus

General Mills is the latest company to become a tenant at the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis. The Research Campus is a public-private partnership between David Murdock and the University of North Carolina System. The Research Campus sits on 350-acres just north of Charlotte, NC. Other tenants on the Campus include: Dole Food Inc, Monsanto, NC State University, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, NC A&T State University, RCCC, LabCorp, ASU, UNC Greensboro, NC Central University, Mallard Creek Polymers and Sensory Spectrum.

Officials from the North Carolina Research Campus formally announced today that General Mills will be the latest industry partner to establish a presence at the Kannapolis Center. The Research Campus officially opened for business in the fall of 2008 with the intent on being a new hub for agricultural, human health, and nutrition research.
